Cauldron Community Visit to Sólheimar Ecovillage in Iceland

I am delighted to announce that as part of our case study I have been invited as a Cauldron Community Representative to visit and stay at Sólheimar Ecovillage in Iceland this summer. This will involve some voluntary work in the greenhouses, the permaculture garden, the bakery, kitchen and cafe 🙂 The visit will also involve meeting staff, volunteers, a guided tour and a lecture about the Eco Village.

This Eco Village is an interesting feature in our case study as we were amazed to discover that it attracts over 30,000 visitors a year, mainly folks seeking to learn about sustainable living. It is a key part of the Cauldron Community vision to be a centre for environmental education and to attract visitors in this respect.

Will keep ye all posted 🙂
