24 Sep Open Day for Prospective Investors: 2-6pm 28th Sept.
Folks, we have been very moved with the wave of well-wishing and support we have received since our recent blog announced we are sale agreed on the fabulous Dún Dúlra site! Thank you all so much!
It’s been particularly heart-warming to have numerous neighbours of the site (some of whom we have already had the pleasure of meeting) offering kind words of support and a lovely informative article from Boyle Today the main local news media, which led to lots of local people hearing of our plans for the first time and offering support. We are particularly delighted to see so much fantastic Eco and Heritage work already being done in the local area and the offers of potential win/win partnerships.
Which leads to the main message of this blog. We said in the last about our investor open day on 28th September and again, we have had a lot of interest in this. But I just wish to make sure anyone wishing to come knows the details and also please do feel free to share this blog so any who may be interested but have not heard of our project can have the opportunity.
We will gather for site tour at 2pm on Doon Shore public amenity, which is adjacent to the site and has carparking space (we do of course encourage folks to carshare and or come via sustainable transport). For anyone coming via bus or train into Boyle, we may be able to arrange lifts and careshare if you wish to email in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org
The site tour will last approximately 1-2 hours. This will be dependent on weather, interest and fitness levels. Please do wear welly boots and bring all weather gear! We will then gather in one of the cottages (lower one nearest bigger farmhouse/proposed community hub) for a cuppa, a short presentation from core team and a Q&A session. This will be followed by a round table conversation with all those who are serious about being co-founding investment share-holders in the project. We will finish the open day event by 6pm.
We are particularly welcoming of local business partnerships who are aligned to our vision and values. As a not-profit-driven Social Enterprise we welcome CSR investment from ethical partners.
We have also booked the local Tawnytaskin Community Centre from 2-6pm as a back up location depending on numbers and weather! So we may relocate to there after site tour.
We would appreciate if anyone interested in coming could let us know via email email@example.com and feel free to include a short introduction of yourself and your level of interest.
Please do share this blog with anyone you think may be interested or in relevant social media platforms.
See you all on Saturday for the opportunity to be part of inspiring the ecological, economic, social and cultural regeneration of Ireland. Which is needed if we are to rise the challenges of the mass-extinction event we are in and the climate crisis we all face. We can do this!
Be part of the solution…
